" USER ENGAGEMENT USING BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY." 

 

The Objective
Create an interactive campaign to maximize brand awareness .

The Answer
Bluetooth hotspots were placed into 13 main bus shelters in the center of Athens. The people that were passing by or just waiting for the bus to arrive were prompted from the PepsiMAX poster to enable the bluetooth on their mobile phone. Immediately after special branded content was sent directly to their phones:

  • Wallpapers of world known soccer players sponsored by Pepsi (Beckam, Messy & Ronaldo)
  • Sugar to the PepsiMAX java game
  • PepsiMAX world known soccer players TVC commercial
  • "Hey Now Now" by The Cloud Room mp3 as a ringtone

The Result
More than 30.000 downloads occured in a period of 3 weeks. The campaign also had a great viral impact as the content was spread from one phone to another pushing the campaign exposure through the roof!
